The factory was built in the 1950s and is located just a few kilometres from the city centre of Gera. Today, it is used for the production of plastics. The owner wanted to build an extension with new rooms for meetings and a foyer for receiving customers. The facade elements and the movable elements on the factory’s trademark tower are made of coloured granulate. A tree-lined street, benches and a pond that was added for fire-safety purposes offer new spaces for employees and visitors to spend time.
